A crucial part integrated in all our projects is awareness. Thanks to our volunteers and supporters, JHK can continously raise awareness around the world about the Yazidi survivors.
Documentary & Movement
One of our most important projects for raising awareness has been the documentary movie The Longest Road, directed by Matthew Charles Hall and Jennifer Salcido. JHK founder Dr. Nemam Ghafouri was cast as herself and the movie was shot in Bajed Kandala camp for some of the scenes.
The Longest Road is more than just a documentary movie. It is a voice for the voiceless and a movement in the process of empowering internally displaced people. The team of The Longest Road have been dedicating a part of the movie incomes to JHK and its projects ever since the start of the movement.
JHK co-owns the right for The Longest Road and would love to get help with screenings. If you, or someone you know would like to support us by making arrangements for a screening, please e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
So far we have had screenings in several countries, with the help of good-hearted people.
Our activities include emergency relief, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, civil society support and rehabilitation for genocide survivors. Please support our work by making a donation. All amounts are deeply appreciated. Thank you!
