COVID-19 campaign

At JHK’s rehabilitation centre at Bajed Kandala displaced persons camp in Iraqi Kurdistan, volunteers are learning to make protective face masks. Our sewing classes are run by Ms Sevi, a hardworking widow who has been supporting her family since her husband passed away, and managed to send her kids to school and give them an opportunity for a better future. Recently some of Ms Sevi’s students approached her for help making protective face-masks for themselves and their families. As COVID-19 cases increase and the country braces for an expected second wave, we want to help the community prepare and stay safe. So we thought: let’s help our amazing volunteers make enough masks for everybody!

Please support their work by making a small donation to help cover the cost of materials, equipment and electricity. You can do it either directly from the Facebook fundraiser link here or use a donation method of your choice here.
