To mark international women’s day the JHK clinic team hosted a special event for young Yazidi women from Bajed Kandala displaced persons camp: a festival of protest, dance and celebration.
Meanwhile JHK founder Nemam Ghafouri spoke at a seminar at the Swedish parliament hosted by Varken hora eller kuvad on the theme “Discrimination against women and girls: global perspectives”. Dr Ghafouri talked about the continuing crimes committed against of Yazidi women and the failure of local and international authorities to stand up for survivors.
