A very productive meeting between Mr Rebar Ahmed Khalid, Kurdistan Minister of Interior, and Dr Nemam Ghafouri, JHK founder and chairwoman.
Dr Ghafouri highlighted the urgent situation in IDP camps. We discussed healthcare provision, effects of the ongoing corona pandemic, and needs of genocide survivors.
Displaced minorities are among those who have suffered worst both from the COVID-19pandemic and side effects of containment policies which have exacerbated existing problems. Their needs must not be neglected.
JHK looks forward to working with Kurdish and international authorities to improve the quality of care and support to displaced people.
